This isn't political in nature, but is still damned cool none the less.
The Song of Ice & Fire series by George R.R. Martin is being developed as a television series by HBO. The plan is for each book of the series to take a season's worth of episodes, in the style of "Rome" and "Deadwood".
The pilot episode was just scheduled to begin filming this fall in Northern Ireland.
Casting hasn't started yet, but there are rumors that Adrian Paul (from the Highlander series) will be cast as Ned Stark, and Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister.

As far as I could tell, President Obama gave his speech with almost perfect delivery. It is unfortunate, then, that he could have made such a mistake right at the beginning.
While President Obama is our nation's 44th elected President, he is only the 43rd person to take the office!!
While it may be easy for most to forget, President Grover Cleveland was our nation's 22nd and 24th President, with President Benjamin Harrison presiding inbetween terms as our nations 23rd.
